High Coo – May 30 – National Creativity Day

However, you choose to express your creativity, today is a great day to do so.

Interesting, to me at least, is the ancient Greeks did not have a specific word for creativity. But they did have the word ‘poiein’ ( which means ‘to make’) applied specifically to ‘poiesis’ (‘poetry’) and the ‘poietes’ (‘poet’ or ‘maker’).

Today there are many synonyms for poet including versifier, rhymester, lyricist, sonneteer and troubadour. Do you have a favorite term for poet?

Here’s today’s haiku:

National Creativity Day

using words to share

Beauty, Truth or Love may help

liberate others

Thank you, readers for motivating me with your words.

High Coo – May 28 – Hamburger Day

Americans eat over 50 billion hamburgers a year. That’s a lot of beef! This sandwich was made famous when introduced at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. St. Louis is also one of the test markets for the new Impossible (no-meat/all plant-based) burger. So, here is today’s haiku:

HAMBURGER DAY

A ground meat patty

served with bread, cheese and veggies.

How ’bout just veggies?
